“This isn’t just some little business that kind of like goes, oh whatever. This is actually working and I’m actually making money. People really like it. I’m really selling it. And I’m really making a living doing what’s inside of me and what’s inspirational to me.”
Buchsbaum is a self-taught polymer artist who started Merrily Made in 1992. She is a two-time Niche Award finalist whose work has been published in numerous articles and books and seen on the CBS Early show. She is recognized in the art community as one of the leading polymer artists. Buschsbaum graduated from Goucher College with a teaching and art degree.
She went on to earn a master’s degree in natural science from Wesleyan University in addition to a master’s degree in nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. When not in the studio, Buchsbaum is an avid outdoors- woman who loves to whitewater kayak, bike, ski, garden and travel.
